Filter Ferret

About Filter Ferret

I built Filter Ferret because Amazon couldn’t help me find a kitchen cart.

I needed a small utility cart for the narrow gap between my stove and refrigerator. Simple enough. I went to Amazon, searched “kitchen cart,” and got thousands of results. But there was no way to filter by the one dimension that actually mattered — width.

So I did what everyone does. Opened listings one at a time. Scrolled past glamor shots to find the specs buried at the bottom. Wrote measurements on a sticky note. Closed the tab. Opened the next one.

After an hour of this, I had a thought: I’m a developer. I can build something better.

What Filter Ferret Does

That kitchen cart hunt became Filter Ferret — a search tool that finds Amazon furniture by exact dimensions. Width, height, depth. The measurements that determine whether something actually fits in your space.

Tell us the space you’re trying to fill, and we’ll find furniture that fits. Filter by dimensions, star ratings, review count, number of drawers — the kind of filtering Amazon’s search should do but doesn’t. Or run it in reverse: plug in the size of the gap you need to fill and see what fits.

Who I Am

Tim Miller

I’m Tim Miller, a creative director and interactive media developer with 20+ years of experience. As co-founder of Rocket 5 Studios, my background spans AAA console titles, mobile games and apps, and immersive AR/VR projects — combining design, programming, and production to create user-centered experiences.

I’ve contributed to projects for major studios including Lucasfilm, Disney, Cartoon Network, Sony, Sega, and Autodesk.

Building things that solve real problems is what I do. Filter Ferret started as a tool for myself. Turns out a lot of other people have the same frustration.

How I Select Products

Every product on this site is independently researched. I check verified buyer reviews, manufacturer specs, and real-world measurements. If a listing doesn’t have clear, accurate dimensions, it doesn’t make the cut.

Dimensions come first. Always.

Editorial Independence

I earn commissions through the Amazon Associates Program when you buy through my links. That doesn’t change what I recommend. Products make it onto this site because they’re good and their measurements check out — not because they pay higher commissions.
